Nicky Whelan gained fame in Australia due to her portrayal of Pepper Steiger. This was from the Australian soap opera Neighbors. The very first role she played with Hollywood was the choral comedy Hollywood & Wine in which she played an actress that is a newcomer to Hollywood. She was then offered a character in the ninth season of Scrubs as Maya a very sexually attractive medical student. However, the series is suddenly stopped. In the following episodes, she filmed a Farrelly Brothers comedy called Good To Shoot, starring the Jason Sudeikis/Owen Wilson duo, and later made appearances in short films series and B-series movies. The year 2013 allowed her to get more exposure for her work She was featured in six episodes of the detective series Franklin and Bash, then she was offered her first role as a regular on the internet-based series Chosen that is played in by Milo Ventimiglia. She appears in the first two seasons of the series in addition to giving the answer to Chad Michael Murray. Later in the year, she acted in supporting roles for two films based in planes. One of them is Flight 7500: One Way Back by the SyFy Channel. The film featured actors who had appeared in show on television. Another film, Le Chaos starring Nicolas Cage and Nicolas Cage, is an action thriller.
