Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire lies in that tranquil part of Montreal's West Island. The people who aren't familiar with this term frequently think that it's a distinct island that lies west of Montreal However, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to all things that belong to the city of Lachine west. It is often cited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel, but while this is the case the time she spent there was brief. Brugel was raised in Courtice, outside Oshawa, Ontario. Early ambitions were to be an experienced dancer. Then, a growing surge meant she had outgrown her dance partners. The article she wrote about revealed that was published in the Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall, even when she was wearing heels. Once I outgrew my male companions, I stopped. The former dancers usually turn to acting, and in Bruce's case, it was the guidance of her drama instructor at high school which led her to take the step she was looking for. Her teacher suggested she audition for the role of Anne in the school's annual production. She tried it out and ended up as the leading female in Anne of Green Gables. Her Fine Arts Talent Award at York University led her to the Theater Program and she graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's of fine arts degree.
